− Restaurant is very spacious. Dimmed lights (the chandeliers gave too much light) and darker walls would definitely create a more cozy feeling.
Rarely will you be treated as well as this by hotel staff.
10.0We were greeted by name everywhere we went, as in Mr and Mrs. Vary polite staff and clearly know how to impress and provide a decorum befitting such an establishment. The room was in a converted barn type building, or old staff cottages, and consisted of 3 room. A bedroom, bathroom and a lounge. Complimentary bottle of wine was in the room on arrival. All meals were extra on the cost of the room and this doubled the overall cost of the stay. The food was fabulous especially the Spicy Mince for breakfast (3x I had that). The wine list was comprehensive with in house grape varieties that hit the spot. Whisky selection was the best we've seen anywhere from run of the mill Jamesons to McCallan 12 year. Check the list as some were £25 a shot! After checkout we we're allowed to leave the car and go walking in town before returning to kill some time in the bar area before heading for CPT airport. This is the place to go for some luxury at the end of a long road trip.
