Highly recommend - fantastic staff, dog friendly and excellent aircon in rooms
9.0This was my first stay at Donington Hotel. I booked it because it is dog friendly and has aircon in the rooms. It was the start of a heatwave and my dog was struggling with the temperature of our flat and all portable aircon units were out of stock. The hotel is wonderful, the staff couldn't help enough and were very welcoming of my dog and I. The grounds are beautiful, the food was excellent and the aircon was amazing!
− I arrived late and the room wasn't quite ready. However, the staff managed this well - I was shown to the bar and asked to wait there with a complimentary glass of prosecco. If the bar and communal areas had aircon, my dog and I would have spent more time there as we enjoyed meeting some lovely people at the hotel. As with all hotels, I think there was a premium for the aircon room in the middle of a heatwave.
Brilliant place and great service
10.0Excellent service from all staff especially the reception team. 1st class Great room. Very clean. Great bed. Wonderful pool. The staff there are also amazing. Spa is good Restaurant food and service is excellent The place has had a make over since my last trip and it looks very good indeed
