8.0The location and history of the hote
− Parking. As my husband is disabled
I had one night in Alnwick, more nights would have been better.
9.0Location was good for my visit to Alnwick Gardens. Room and bed were comfortable. The hotel is 3 miles from Alnmouth Railway station. Regular public bus service to Alnwick , taxi is £15 each way on a Sunday. The walk to and from Alnmouth station is really good, takes about 90 minutes. I used the bus from the station to Alnwick and walked to catch my train home on my return.
− Bathroom could do with an hours maintenance, sealer around bath and some tile grouting is black. The toilet seat is loose, Breakfast, cooked breakfast is good quality food, but was cold, even the toast, what a shame.
Stay in alnwick this is only place to go 👍

Ok Hotel in Good Location
7.0Location excellent for all of Alnwick, and buses run from nearby to local places and further afield. Several good eating and drinking places in town. Smallish car at rear is free but is first come first served. There is a public car park across road behind hotel and this is free for 24 hours. Useful if you take your car out and there is no space on return. Breakfast good and usual fare but limited cereal and fruit choices.
− Was in an annex at rear of hotel so don't know what the main hotel was like. Had to walk up some stairs and out of the side of the hotel, up more steps and down a 25 metre gravel path to access the building and room. There was no security on the building door. Weather was fine but the walk would not have been fun in nastier weather. Wouldn't have wanted to try and take cases that way. Were advised by reception that we could exit our buiding to the car park via a fire exit door to get our luggage in, and were asked to re-enter and re-lock the door, which we did. Came back to the car park on several occasions and on trying the fire exit door to more easily access the room found it unlocked. Not secure!
