Hotel byl kousek od vlaku RER Gare du Nord, zároveň kousek od stanice metra, která vedla na nejzásadnější body Paříže. Najít hotel nebylo nijak složité, check-in byl relativně bez komplikací, pokoj byl malý, ale útulný.

− Pro pobavení... byla jsem v pátém patře, ale ve výtahu se tlačítko na páté patro nenacházelo. Obecně některé zařízení už prostě jevilo známky opotřebení. Jako velké mínus hodnotím snídaně. Velmi špatný a malý výběr, v podstatě máte na stole připravený jediný talíř a sadu příborů a víc si nikde u jídla vzít nemůžete - není k dispozici. Slanina, párek... o tom si můžete nechat jenom zdát, i o nějakém zajímavém výběru ovoce... v době konání největšího evropského food veletrhu velká škoda...

hotel itself is ok. but it's located in a rough area in that district.

− I feel I need to warn people staying here: do not let the hotel help you book a taxi. when I was trying to book a taxi online to the airport for an early morning ride, I asked the receptionist about the traffic at that time of the day. she was nice and helpful, and another lady offered to book a taxi for me, so I accepted. everything was fine, until I got on the taxi. the amount on the meter was 65 euro. I knew it was not right, since from where the hotel was to orly airport should be 45 euro. so I asked the driver, he said it's 60. he said 45 was from airport to the city. I didn't reply, because I didn't want to be left on the highway and missed my plane. but I was sure it should be 45+ 7 for booking in advance. anyways, after we arrived, I told him it should be 52 euro, the driver said 55. since I had a flight to catch I paid. Mostly because 3 euro was nothing, and we usually would tip more back home. But no one likes to be scammed. So we were still arguing after we paid, and the driver kept saying I should call the hotel, so I called. even though calling the hotel would cost me way more than 3 euro, because I felt I should let the hotel know that this guy wasn't reliable. The guy who worked in that morning in the hotel instantly asked me how much I paid, I said 55, he said it's ok, and then kept saying "you paid 55, it's ok" when I tried to tell him that the driver initially wanted to charge me way more than that. and the hotel guy even said that 55 was from the city to the airport (just as what the driver said) while I was holding the preprinted official receipt which clearly stated what the prices should be. that's the moment I realized that he might know the driver or something. because otherwise why he so firmly sided with the driver? It might just be one bad apple spoils the barrel, or whatever. but no one wants to be scammed. so be careful people, do not let things like this ruin your travel mood.
