Outstanding Service from Start to Finish

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marriott Melbourne! A huge thank you to Elle, who checked us in with such a warm, friendly smile and made the entire check-in process so smooth and welcoming. She truly made us feel valued from the moment we arrived. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a room with Executive Lounge access and complimentary breakfast for all three of us. We never expected such a generous gesture, and it made our stay even more special. Thank you so much, Marriott Melbourne, for creating such a memorable and enjoyable experience. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The housekeeping team did an excellent job cleaning our room every day and were always helpful and attentive. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a great selection and excellent quality. Everything exceeded our expectations. We can't thank the team enough for their outstanding hospitality and exceptional service. Thank you again for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Marriott Melbourne to anyone visiting the city!

Lovely! But…..

This is a lovely hotel my only negative is the pool area. There is no lights in the pool / spa area at all aside from one little blue light in the pool and spa themselves. There is a light when you first walk in but it seems to dim after a while of no one walking in then there and there is no other lights so it’s SO dark in there and a little off putting my daughter was a bit scared. There is no way you could relax and read a book it’s too dark. I asked a few staff members and they were a bit confided like that’s how it always is. The pool itself was heated well in winter but the spa was way too hot and the bubbles weren’t working which I only discovered after trying the button several times and then calling reception to ask and they told me they hadn’t worked in a while?. It’s a shame because it would be decent with some more lights. There’s literally no lights in the roof. It’s bizarre. My photo actually makes it look lighter than it does in reality.

The hotel is in a great convenient location with lots around it. I did find it comfortable to work from of an evening though the rooms might be a little out-dated and there is not much in the way of amenities, mini bar etc.

The size of the Room

− The decor was dated and in need of repair. Room service closed at 10. I rang at 0945 three times and eventually was told that I couldn't order from the menu because they cut off orders early. They rang back and changed their mind but the whole thing was unprofessionally done. The lounge chairs were fancy 1970's style but were worn and uncomfortable.
