Clean but overpriced for condition of the premises
5.0I was in the area to visit friends and it was 5 minutes from their home. It was also close to sites I wanted to visit . The room was clean. No lingering odors. The staff were warm and welcoming.
− It was shabby. Bleached stains in the carpet. Curtains were stained. The noise from people moving loudly through the hallways at all hours of the night (midnight through 4:30 am) was too much. I found it difficult to fall asleep. The bathroom is in desperate need of a redo. The tub spigot is not flush to the shower wall and made me wonder how much water was getting behind the wall.

8.0Nice place
− Our floor had moisture on it. It made our socks wet.
Property in disrepair (but staff was kind)
4.0While the location is ideal for a visit to Harper's Ferry historic sites... this property is sadly in need of maintenance and repair. Rooms and hallways smelled musty (strong enough that the hallways all had plug-in air fresheners in them, presumably to cover the musty smells?). There was NO WI-FI AVAILABLE in the rooms, only in the lobby. Curtains and carpets were filthy. Advertised pool was out of service, which would be understandable except that by the looks of it, the pool had not functioned in some time. In the room, the hair dryer and mini fridge were both broken. During our stay the fire alarm briefly sounded, but when we called the front desk, they said it was a false alarm. Breakfast included milk, bread, waffles. The positive was the STAFF FRIENDLINESS, which was outstanding :)
Poor Maintenance and upkeep
2.0The Clarion Inn looked lovely and much had been renovated. BUT It was dirty and poorly maintained. The pool was broken. When you walk in the main entrance there were dead fall leaves scattered about and the concrete in front of a dirty garbage can was stained and dirty from something that spilled there. The breakfast room had no black tea only decaf. I had to ask for the muffins to be refilled on our second day. On the first day I asked for yogurt which was then refilled. The tables were not wiped off and the gentleman in charge stood around a lot. The room were clean. the outside shubbery needed to be trimmed. There were weeds growing between the bushes especially on the back of the building. The carpeted steps going upstairs needed vaccumming the whopl 2 days we were there. The door to our room was dirty. The elevator has finger prints all over the stainless steal walls. Th sheer curtain in our room was shredded. I would not recommend staying there even though it is conveniently located to Harpers Ferry National Park.
Would absolutely never stay there again
2.0Good location with a restaurant/bar
− Poorly maintained- our bathroom was extremely old, dated, and dirty
Location was great, and the staff was friendly!
7.0I liked how close I was to everything. The location was only a few minutes down the road from the national park. And a street away from the bungee jumping facility!
− Unfortunately the pool was closed during my stay. But that’s not anyone’s fault.
