All staff were very helpful and nice. Rooms looked great, over all, my stay was great.

Can't accommodate guests, overcrowding and overcharging.

Awful, bad communication from staff. No accountability for parking or vehicles being towed. Hard to navigate if you're not used to downtown. It's skety in the area. We had to leave at 6 am to be sure our vehicle wasnt towed and we had to keep checking to make sure it didn't get broken into. Staff didn't care. Couldn't communicate well, when asked about a consession stand we were told there is an old vending machine in the basement of the building. Creepy. Asked for a quiet room and they put us next to the elevators. When calling to book we were quoted Way higher for a smaller room than booking online with their website. Sketchy.

Front Desk Anna is an All Star!

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Suites Downtown while on a business trip to Calgary in February 2026. When I checked in, I was greeted at the front desk by Anna. Anna's warm welcome really set the tone for my entire stay. Anna was friendly, cheerful, helpful, and professional. The room was clean had all of the amenities I required. I highly recommend this hotel. Dyakuyu Anna! I will definitely go back.

Jacuzzi suite

We stayed on the top floor in the Jacuzzi suite. The balcony with the view was awesome, although I didn’t like the shared balcony. Would’ve been nice to have been able to leave the blinds open without worrying about a neighbour walking by. We had a fairly nice view. You could see the mountains on the left and then the city on the right. The little window in the room also provided a nice view. My first impression of the room was really nice big windows, nice view. Windows look very old and were quite dirty. The sofa is very outdated amd appeared stained. The little kitchenette was nice even had a dishwasher. The bathroom shower was a glass, walk-in shower didn’t try it, but it looked nice and modern. The toilet was annoying because it was very loud and had to run for a long time every time it was flushed. The tub was nice and roomy. The bed was comfy, but I was pissed right off to get up in the morning and see the bed mattress protector was absolutely filthy. Stains all over it. Both the elevators were in working order and quick. The breakfast was OK. I didn’t see any hash browns, but they did have lots of bacon eggs, waffles ect. The location is really nice. There’s a Dollarama within two minutes. Same with Tim Hortons. There are many places to walk walk around and eat. We went walking on Saturday night downtown and there was a lot of entertainment/bars close by. The staff were very friendly and accommodating check-in and checkout was easy.

Excellent Location with wonderful sunrise views

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right on the Beltline with easy access to 17th Street which is a very lively street. I had a room facing the parking lot on the upper floor. The sunrise view is fantstic.
