Beautiful older resort. Very affordable. Huge pool. Loved it and will come back

This is an older beachfront location. Pros: beautiful view, beach is mostly secluded except for hours that cruise ships are in, then it gets crowded in bar/restaurant as well Pool is nice..opens at 7, but usually not cleaned until around 10 Manager (Michelle) and most of the staff are great, friendly and helpful ! The locals are warm and welcoming Cons: Don’t plan on sleeping at all..between the many roosters crowing round the clock, the flocks of loud birds that nest in the eaves of the buildings and being right beside the airport (the airplanes are actually the least of the noise) Feral cats will also mew and beg for food at the restaurant and bar because the staff feeds them on site, which only trains them to do so. Unfortunately the staff does not speak up and enforce the posted “no smoking/vaping” rule, so the “clean air zone” doesn’t exist unless you say something yourself, which is frustrating since this is supposed to be a non-smoking resort. The roosters and chickens poop on the sidewalks and beach, so walking barefoot is very unsanitary. Although there were a couple of good servers, the food and drink staff are lacking in every aspect. Poor attitudes, lack of knowledge on prices, and openly blame management for no training. Posted specials aren’t honored because they “don’t have a button for it and don’t know how to ring it up”. And because they sometimes just don’t show up for work, breakfast can take an hour & a half, so plan accordingly. Lastly, there was a huge swarm (hundreds) of bees that weren’t there in the morning when I went down for breakfast, but because of a lazy bartender leaving drinks sitting around they became so overrun that you couldn’t sit at the bar and you could barely swim in one end of the pool. When I inquired about this one of the bartenders informed me that they were “paid to make drinks, not clean up“. If someone was allergic to bees, they could’ve died on the spot due to unnecessary carelessness. I’m aware there’s pros and cons with every location, situation, and people…but many of these were unnecessary, preventable, and fixable.

This hotel was everything we needed it to be. Not fancy by any means. But the staff is friendly, it's clean, affordable, and right on the beach. There is nothing that compares to waking up to the sound of waves crashing. We will definitely be back!

Stay elsewhere. Unless your priority is a nice beach. It was ours

I would give this hotel one star except there were a couple of employees who made up for it: Natalia and Philorina in the restaurant and Danya at the bar. The location is exceptional, the hotel sits right on Lindbergh Bay and the beach is gorgeous. The hotel property is a different story. When you enter the reception desk let me warn you that you will be a little bit surprised. It is outdated, dirty, and the staff is flat out rude. We waited 45 mins past 4pm which is check in time to get our room because we asked for connecting rooms and they didn’t even give us connecting rooms. Yes the rooms were next to each other but they were not connected by a door. When got travel with teenagers that is kind of a big deal. I requested this back in March by the way and the hotel confirmed that it would be no problem. Well it was. When we got our room the room was great. Ocean front. All rooms are. But see the picture of our view lol. The staff around the hotel is barely friendly, they are not accommodating and if they are only to a bare minimum. Another problem was most amenities were closed. Non motorized sports, beach bar, umbrella rentals, until the cruise ships came to town. They time their business based on cruise ship revenue. Not very fair to people staying at the hotel. The only highlight was Lime Out which is the floating taco restaurant, not affiliated to the hotel, but right in front of it and easy to get to from the beach. We will not be coming back to this hotel
