4.0Good location and staff were very friendly.
− The breakfast was very basic and the bed was small and uncomfortable. Although the bathroom was modern, the bedroom was very dated.
Very pleasant stay in a great location.
8.0The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and our room was in a good location in the hotel. The staff kindly provided a fan for our use, since the weather was quite hot during our stay.
− We noticed that some other guests had to keep their doors open to get some breeze during the hot weather. I hope that in the future, the hotel will lay in more fans to help with guest comfort during hot-weather periods.
I would highly recommend this hotel in the heart of Shrewsbury.
10.0Great location close to the train station, staff were very welcoming and helpful. Delicious breakfast, cooked to order.

The hotel is uncomfortable & tired.
3.0It’s a great location, in the historic centre of Shrewsbury.
− My room was so uncomfortable, I wasn’t able to sleep. Despite the weather being warm, there were a limited number of fans, so there wasn’t one in my room. I was a woman travelling on her own & was in a first floor room which overlooks an area where people hung out very late at night - so I didn’t feel safe having the window wide open. When I shared the feedback with staff, I felt dismissed & told ‘ladies usually like that room.’ The bed was super uncomfortable- it was some sort of single truckle bed (like my kids used to use for sleeping overs) & moved around - bizarre. It generally felt very run down, with staff working hard to keep it afloat.
