Fabulous Old School Retreat
8.0Lovely well maintained garden setting. Restful with superb old school customer service throughout. Attentive friendly staff. Mandatory swim caps in pool a bit tedious. Location is 20 minutes up hill from pretty coast. Busy traffic on the way. Good supermarkets. Our room was 50 steps down from lowest lift floor. Not ideal for those with mobility issues. Transfer from and to airport was 3 hours not the 130 minutes Tui quote. Walk to bus. Bus to port. Walk to ferry. Wait. 50 minute sea trip. Walk to bus to hotel. With ID delays on way out, a 2.5 hour flight ended up an 11 hour trip door to door. Food ok. 4 course dinner with good choices. Lots of fish. Breakfast all the continental pastries, (never seen so many cakes) cereals, cold cuts, fruit, Fried eggs cold! Hot plate not working. Superb coffee/teas. Pizzeria served best pizza ever! Wonderful waiters and bar staff. Great drinks choices/cocktails. Great spa treatments. A get away from it all retreat. No Tui rep on site and no Tui info board. All trips done via Tui App. Some might feel isolated others may enjoy the away from it all do it yourself vibe.

4*? A disappointing stay
4.0Good location, close to local bus stop and 10 min walk to Main Street. The garden are well kept and colorful. The loungers at the swimming pools were comfortable.
− The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. No complimentary drinks in the room upon arrival. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable. No iron, broken safe. Expensive pool drinks. The breakfast is the same everyday. The food is mediocre and has no special dietary food available.

9.0Gorgeous room and fabulous views. Lovely places to sit and relax.
− Spa was ok. Was much smaller than I expected and the relaxation room was very basic. Food was ok, only had one evening meal and we didn’t like it (and we’re not particularly fussy). Breakfast was good. Wed booked the hotel to visit Ischia so it was great for that and the pool facilities outside were good. You just need to be prepared for some of the relaxation, terraces and pool areas to be up and down steps.
