Springfort report
8.0Location, original historic building, staff, grounds, facilities...
− Accommodation in large extension about 40 years old tired in decor and many details needing attention such as poor repairs, bathroom bin rusty, bath and basin plug chains both broken, bedroom curtains difficult to slide and impossible to close fully, kettle poorly located and difficult to use...
Excellent
10.0Lovely hotel with old house character and helpful staff.

8.0Good sized, comfortable room Friendly staff Lovely location with lots of parking
− Overpriced Rooms dated - bathrooms need attention Breakfast is by order only - limited offering
Lovely staff, Clean premises, Good food - one star too many though
7.0We had dinner there, and the food was lovely. Breakfast the following morning was quick fresh and hot. The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was clean, and the public areas also appeared to be clean. The garden, which only seemed to be at the front of the property, was also clean and well looked after. Plenty of parking, and there were 3 disability parking places just to the side of the hotel.
− It's an old building, but there are clear signs of wear and tear. The toilet roll holder fell off the wall when I went to get some tissue. The lid of the cistern rattles when you flush the toilet. We were given a ground floor room that felt like going to a basement as you had to go downstairs from reception – although the room was clean, it could do with some sheer curtains with the heavy ones for privacy, as people could walk by the window and look straight in which made changing a little awkward. A safety lock on the window would also be handy, as we were experiencing extremely hot weather, but because we were on the ground level, we could not leave the window open for security reasons.
