9.0The hotel was clean, beautiful and had great food options as all included.
− The pool options were limited, the basic package only allowes access to 1 pool area,making it very full and no space when we wanted to go find a chair. We had to pay extra to upgrade to get access to the 3rd pool, vip, which had tons of seating options. The pool areas could used a redo, age and wear and tear were showing.

8.0We spent 7 days and 6 nights beginning on Mother's Day. We enjoyed our stay and had a very nice experience. The pool chairs fill up quickly every day, don't be late making your way to the pool. The nightly entertainment is a nice bonus after day of activities and sight seeing.
Wonderful trip
10.0I stayed for 2 weeks. I had a wonderful experience. Luz and David in the buffet were a joy every day in the Buffet restaurant. Luis and Dani in the activity staff made our trip enjoyable. Augustin and the bar staff at the Royal pool always keeping us well stocked. Food was really good, especially at the speciality places. My only complaint would be the fruit wasn't the freshest, I'm also very picky when it comes to that.
David is exceptional
6.0The hotel and resort itself is fine. The reason I decided to write this review was because of a man named David the restaurant manager. When I attended the Japanese restaurant, Tokyo, he was amenable to my allergies. I was not feeling the best and he made sure I had a good experience despite this. The second night I saw him was at the Italian restaurant. While there he was kind and courteous and remembered me from the restaurant before. A wonderful host a kind man.
Excellent service
10.0This is our second time staying at the Occidental and we really like how clean it is and how friendly the employees are. We have stayed Royal level both times and enjoy having the separate pool and bar as well as the Royal Level restaurant. The food is very good but the service makes it extra special. Thanks to our breakfast crew, Antonio, Marisol, Tito and Tommy for making us feel so welcome! We would also like to thank Karen at Royal Level reception for being so helpful and always answering any questions we had. It was our anniversary when we were there and had a nice surprise waiting in the room for us. Much appreciated!!
