Rooms were clean, kitchen was well-equipped. Location is excellent: you can walk downtown via river walkways through parkland. Young staff in the office were exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Bedding and cleanliness were acceptable, not exceptional. The building, however, is aging. Doors and bathroom fixtures show the wear. Sound insulation was non-exsistant, and work on the building made intolerable noise from before 9 until 4 every day. Fortunately, we only needed the unit for sleeping and went out for the daytime. Still, once the noise began in the morning we felt we were fleeing to get away from it before it became painful. Impossible to rest during the day. At night, loud music was audible from another unit.

The location was great and walkable to the grocery store.

− - room wasn’t clean: an inch of dust and grime on both HVAC systems, blowing particles into the room, crumbs and food debris on the stove top, toenail clippings on bathroom floor, showers both had soap scum and mold that was visible and building up from many showers, floor had dirt on it (unswept), toothpaste residue in sink. - false advertising: no mention of Murphy bed being one of the 2 beds, there isn’t 2 bedrooms, just 1 bedroom with a Murphy bed in the kitchen. - fire safety hazard: fireplace was warped and melted from overheating and over use. The couch from living room was pushed directly up against the gas fireplace. Couch was warm to the touch. - stinky: smelt like chemicals and musty; weird “scent deodorizer” on top of shelf looked gross and was contributing to smell. - king bed frame broken: mattress was comfy, but the frame feels broken and you’re constantly “rolling uphill” throughout the night because of something pushing you in middle of bed.
