A pleasant stay overall, with friendly staff and and good location
7.0The staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent, just a short walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. However, the hotel is located downhill from the tram line, so getting there on foot with luggage can be a bit challenging.
− The hotel felt a bit dated, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, although it wasn't due to poor cleanliness. I suspect it may have been coming from the plumbing. The towels also looked quite worn and could do with being replaced.

10.0I loved everything! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was very quiet and respectful. The breakfast was a real treat—a nice choice of fresh cheese, olives, fruits, greens, and excellent coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful: they responded to our requests before arrival, organized excursions, offered a convenient taxi service to and from the airport. The location is absolutely perfect for a short-term tourist, with all the old city attractions within easy walking distance.

Great Location, Fabulously Friendly Staff!
10.0We arrived at reception at 5am due to our flight arrival time and we were given a room immediately and invited to have breakfast between 7am-10am which after a 10 hour flight and an hour's trip from the airport was very much appreciated. We were subsequently moved to a better slightly larger room by Umay Atalay at Guest Relations completely unprompted by us, both had balconies with views of the Bosphorus. Umay went above and beyond, even loaning us her tram card which we were able to top up easily at the tram stations. The hotel is centrally located for the Old City sights (be aware Istanbul is very hilly) and we really felt we had landed on our feet. Our first night was complimentary courtesy of Turkish Airlines but we chose the hotel on the reviews on Booking.com and they were very accurate. Rooms are not massive but I would say above average for European Cities and was very quiet. Bed was comfortable, breakfast had sufficient variety with a blend of cuisines. The hotel (Tuna, Front of House Manager) organised/facilitated our airport transfers, guided day tour and a Bosphorus Dinner Cruise which gave us peace of mind that they would be with reputable people, which they were and I would recommend. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant on the first night and the food was excellent. Unfortunately as they only allow hotel guests to use the restaurant it was practically empty as obviously guests want to experience the many many restaurants the city has to offer rather than eat in the hotel every night. Apparently they used to allow others to use it and it was always very busy, having eaten there I can see why.
− We stayed 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. Restaurant was a bit lonely now they do not allow other tourists in there which was a bit of a shame.
