One night stay over, room clean. Breakfast £25 pp avoid go to Beach and eat there

Lack of stars not due to room or comfort but, lack of sleep and lack of solution by check in staff. Being woken at 5 am and 5.30

We arrived on a very busy Saturday. The general area was heaving due to the amazing weather. Checked in quickly as we're already familiar with the hotel due to a previous visit. Our room 136 was great. Refrigerator kettle etc. Nice size room and food amenities. Usual shampoos conditioners etc in large sizes plus stuff for kids. Signage tells you about charges if you remove anything which is fair and transparent. The cleaning staff were all lovely. Lack of sleep on both nights due to children above waking us at 5 am jumping off beds , running up and down non stop. When I mentioned this to the check in staff she did an embarrassed "sorry". Nothing more. We used the jacuzzi and sauna. A little surprised that such young children were allowed in the jacuzzi. Possibly as young as 4 years old The general place is fine. Our first experience staying last year was better as we had a good sleep. Let me say the beds are very comfortable and BIG.....the rooms are clean and there was a balcony area should we have wanted to use it. Can't knock the bedrooms with a shower and bath. Whilst the hotel can't be responsible for the way the guests behave I do think that possibly a change of room could have been offered. The lady on duty was a trainee so possibly hadn't dealt with this type of thing before. First night was full to capacity the second was only a quarter full. The price at this time of year is good. The reason for the lack of stars is lack of sleep and lack of a solution. Otherwise we would recommend.

Bright and modern

Third visit as part of an organised group. Very bright clean well appointed hotel. Lovely staff , most rooms are very acceptable , some have sea views. Food overall very good . Breakfast ok though the " hot food " tends to be rushed to the table before cereals/ fruit have been eaten. Poached eggs were perfect. Great location for beach, surfing and walks though a bit out of town.

My partner and I stayed at the Esplanade on a last-minute booking. When we arrived, the staff were all super friendly and upgraded us to a sea-view room as it was my birthday. The room was lovely, with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. Great sea view. Lovely bed. The only downside was having inconsiderate neighbors, slamming doors, and the walls are quite thin. The swimming area and sauna were an added bonus. We didn't have breakfast as we think the £25.00 per person was a bit steep, and we found a lovely cafe called The Set Cafe which did amazing food. Overall, the experience was amazing, and it's a lovely friendly hotel. We will return.

Absolutely fantastic half term family holiday!  We returned to The Esplanade Hotel again and wow it's still so wonderful, perched on the golden sands of Fistral, the beach certainly is your playground! From the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave everything was perfect - spotlessly clean throughout, great swimming pool, delicious food to include a highly recommended afternoon tea, wonderfully furnished bedrooms with beautiful sea views and the highlight being outstanding service from each and every member of staff!  Every aspect of this hotel is geared up for the family with great children's entertainment every day.  The manager Claudia certainly knows how to run a hotel with her brilliant team, thank you! Her attention to detail is marvellous, it's the little touches! We will be back, again!

Very clean, didnt feel extra paid was worth it

Was very clean, beautiful views opposite beach. Food and drink a bit pricey and have to book restaurant and swimming pool which books up quickly. Would need to drive if have children to go to town as not that close, they do have small softplay area and park though.
