Great staff and upper room but need transparency when ground floor rooms are allocated
6.0The front desk staff was very welcoming, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. After our request, they kindly moved us to a much nicer 2nd-floor room for the remaining two nights, which had great street views and two large windows.
− We booked 4 months in advance, but spent the first 2 nights in a ground-floor accessible room with poor privacy, as passersby in the garden could see straight into the room. The bathroom had maintenance defects, including a missing toilet seat cover, a broken bin, and a leaking shower door. Furthermore, curtains in both rooms did not cover the full width of the windows, letting in too much light at night. Hotels should be transparent upfront at the time of booking when assigning ground-floor or accessible rooms so guests know what to expect.
