Hidden Gem!
9.0Room size was good with nice furnishings and comfortable bed. Continental breakfast was excellent with nice dining room. Location is excellent near Central Park, MOMA, 5th Avenue.
− Tile work in bathroom could have been cleaner. Rain Shower head and pressure were great but a lot splashed on the bathroom floor.
Impressed with The Chambers
8.0We were upgraded to a room with a balcony. Although I'd say I have stayed in appx hotel nights at several different properties in NYC over the last 25+ years, this is the only time i've had a balcony in the city. Location, it is mere blocks from Central Park, 1 block from the subway, and less than a mile from the Theater district Don't listen to the reviews that put down the breakfast. It is exactly what it says it is > (a continental breakfast with juices, coffee, fruit, toast, and pastries), and a nice one at that. The area is very nice with lots of restaurants and other nice properties. We had a celebrity citiing in front of a hotel directly across the street where we saw Gal Gadot, which gives you an idea as to how nice the area is. The staff is very friendly and helpful, more so than most NYC hotels I have stayed at. A nicer than average italian restaurant is located adjacent to and attached to the hotel, which is where the breakfast is served in the morning?l. And you can order dinner at night and we were told it was very good, but didn't make it there on this trip. Also, don't listen to the bad reviews about the electronic keypad to enter the room. It was super easy to use and not unlike many airbnb properties. We definitely recommend The chambers, a nice bortique hotel.
