My husband and I loved the hotel, but one the bartenders was so rude and disrespectful to my wife. He wouldn’t give me his name but at the end I believe it was Casey. He was the worse and with a poor attitude. Needs better bartenders but food was amazing.

EXCEPTIONAL!! One of the best Guest Relations Teams! Everyone went above and beyond - welcoming smiles, personable conversations, attention to details. Mario D. spoke with me personally to make the "particular inconvenience right" ~ exemplary leadership!! The grounds are very well kept. Our room overlooking the pool area was well appointed and stocked with espresso, beverage accessories and deep soaking tub with salts. Loved the privacy button instead of cheap DND door hangers. Refreshing smell throughout the property. Enjoyed eating (Salmon/Shrimp burger and Fish sandwich) on the private beach which was also well maintained and equipped with firepits. The shuttle to the beach is a nice touch with the well mannered young man driving. Thanks to you ALL!

A vacation away from home

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria Dana Point for a quick little staycation. Even though we’re local to the area, it truly feels like we’re miles away from home. The relaxing environment, top-tier service, and amazing amenities are why the Waldorf stands out in Dana Point. Upon check-in, we were greeted by Noah at the front desk. He made the check-in process as seamless as possible, offering water, assisting with dinner reservations, and even accommodating our room upgrade request. Our room was beautifully located on the first floor, with easy walk-out access to the wonderful amenities. Transportation to the beach club was effortless. Our tram driver communicated clearly, shared stories, and even mentioned that not only did he work there, but his daughter would be greeting us at the beach club. It was amazing to see the Waldorf family connection and support. Our next-day pool experience was even better. With help from Kyle getting our seats set up, offering towels, and bringing water, we felt like we were in pure luxury. Then Hayden greeted us and truly elevated the experience. He remembered our names from a previous stay over six months ago, continued to check if there was anything we needed, and was nonstop assisting all guests. That level of attention was incredibly impressive. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the sunset. One of the things that really stood out to me was the incredible hospitality. The staff knew our names, anticipated how to help us, and provided top-level service for every request we had. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay. It's clear they take great pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the resort. Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. A special shoutout to Eric, who truly elevated our experience — he went out of his way to secure us a fantastic room just steps from the pool and took the time to help us navigate the beautiful property. His friendliness and attention to detail perfectly embodied the spirit of the Waldorf Astoria brand.Every interaction we had with the team, from the front desk to the restaurant staff and valet, reflected the same level of professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. The entire resort is stunning, impeccably maintained, and creates an atmosphere that’s both luxurious and relaxing. Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable stay, and we can’t wait to return to this amazing hotel.
