Terrific staff, great breakfast, fun amenities, Pet-Friendly - Head to the Residence Inn Marriott Bonvoy Spokane Valley
10.0Tucson Arizona's Cyclemaster's Bicycling Club planned a 5-day ride around the Spokane Valley and Couer d'Lene, including the famous Rails to Trails Hiawatha path. Deciding to join this group found us staying at the very newly remodeled Residence Inn by Marriott Spokane East Valley at 15915 E. Indiana Avenue. From Day 1 through the end of our week the experience exceeded our every expectation. Calling ahead to get a full picture of the hotel's surrounding area, Drew (at the front desk) cheerfully took time to explain the mall, businesses and nearby restaurants (not just typical chain eateries). General Manager Matthew Damskov explained the extensive renovation that took place just six months ago. Alissa also manned the front desk with courtesy and attentiveness. One result of that renovation is the single best continental breakfast (free) presented daily that we have ever eaten. Not just waffle makers, but fresh eggs (not powdered or reconstituted), crisp bacon, fluffy bisquits and gravy in addition to all the standards (bagels & blueberry muffins were exceptionally fresh) which alternated daily. Anne did a great job making sure coffee, cereals, yogurt and fruit were speedily replenished. We requested a first floor 1-bedroom and Drew suggested a studio instead - exact same price and square footage, but without a separating door and wall, giving us much more open space to store and work on our bike. The AC worked well & windows opened a bit to allow fresh air to circulate. This Inn has an indoor heated pool and hot tub to entertain, ease sore muscles and melt tension away. Michelle and Ryan in Housekeeping supplied us with extra towels and kept trash cans emptied - always offering to return whenever a need arose. We flew in so left our pups at home this trip, but won't hesitate to take advantage of this pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Bonvoy on furture stays!
Not even an option.
4.0Start with a positive…the beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly. That alone is not enough to ever get me to return. The exterior of the property is run down. The rooms are outdated. Many comments stated renovations were being done I do not see where anything has been updated…maybe the lobby? The first floor is being used for transitional living. It’s a sad situation to see every morning at breakfast. The second and third floors are most likely for paying guests. The entire building has an HVAC issue. The workout room is more of a workout closet. For nearly $300 a night I was extremely disappointed. There are much nicer hotels nearby.
It was comforting
9.0There were two rooms in one room. Staff was very polite and the place was clean breakfast was good.
− I felt like just walking around in the room normally it shook the bathroom door and I kept having to tell the kids to walk slow cause I thought we were going to get in trouble, but we weren’t even doing anything but I felt like it because of the door shaking and kinda loud
I would check to see if property has been updated.
4.0Breakfast was fine bagels were hard
− Furniture was very worn and used. Construction was ongoing and had we known that we wouldn't have stayed there. Also construction workers must have hit something to make fire alarm go off.
Don't stay here until construction is finished!
4.0Hotel was under major construction and the hallways and our room smelled like solvents. The odor was so strong we slept with the windows open all night in October. Better to be cold than wake up with a headache from the fumes. Make sure they are done before you book a room, they won't tell you if you don't ask! We booked the room the day before and called the hotel directly. No mention was made of the major construction when we made the reservation. It was evening when we arrived and we had been driving all day, so we really didn't have the option to find another place to stay. We have stayed there several times before and without construction it is a nice hotel, with a great waking path right behind the property.
