Construction site
3.0Staff were very friendly& the grounds are fantastic. So much for kids to do.
− There are construction works going on behind the lodges during the day. We had to keep all curtains shut as it looked straight into our room. There was no privacy and the noise was constant. On our last night construction work began at 12.30am until 3am right outside out bedroom window with a floodlight shining in all that time. The noise was ridiculous. If we knew such extensive works were ongoing in such close proximity we would not have booked as it ruined the stay completely. I brought this to the attention of a manager on checkout but he had no major regard for how it had ruined the stay and only said to email him if we decided rebook in future.. which we will not be.
Peaceful escape
10.0We loved our stay and would return. The lodge is spacious and comfortable. The amenities on site are great too. We were staying to access a wedding just down the road, so it suited our group perfectly.
