A lovely place to stay in Dorchester. Would stay again.
9.0Location is 2 minutes from main street and museums. 7 minutes stroll from the main Brewery Square. Quiet, beautiful character stay. Great beds. Free coffee in the downstairs area. Space to sit & eat your own takeaways/meal with use of microwave in the previous dinning room. No longer have serve breakfasts on site but have many great places just a few minutes away (we enjoyed not having to make a breakfast timing) Have breakfast suggestions in the room as well as QR code for local online food delivery option. Big room and bathroom with good shower over bath. Lovely staff! We were able to check in early because the room was ready. Yay. Tea, coffee & kettle in the room. No gym....but didn't need it! Exploring 🙂Wi fi good.
− If we had to be picky....no air conditioning in rooms. Staff did supply 2 fans (already going in the room on arrival) and warn us about the no aircon on check in, which was appreciated. It was a heat wave when we stayed. All older places we have stayed in the UK & Europe during the heatwaves this summer have had the same issue. The 2 fans solved the issue. The downstairs dinning room was lovely & cool.

We stayed during week days, and we did not see many people. The hotel felt underused.
8.0The settings. Nicely done, lots of places to sit and relax. Big dining area with lots of tables, but no breakfast... Strange.
− We should have read the reviews with more attention. Parking at the back of the hotel is owned by Just Parking and prices are extortionate. This is not clear in the information you find upfront in the booking.com page. It is only mentioned in the reviews, and not in a negative way. In short, misleading.

The Reception Desk is staffed between the hours of 10.00am and 6.00pm. Outside of these hours, please use the self-service reception kiosk located in the lounge. It's quick and easy and takes less than a minute.
