8.0I love that this is an independent hotel and not another boring chain. The staff was great (especially when I dumped water from my cooler in the lobby!)The lobby and breakfast areas were beautiful and the room was clean and fit all of our needs.
− I would have appreciated a gluten free option at breakfast. There wasn't much to eat. Also, we were told that the lights didn't work in the pool area! Once it got dark out it was not very safe to be in a pool with little kids with no lights in the pool itself or in the room.

2.0A place to stay before we ended up in Deadwood, SD. Nice room and comfortable bed. Decent shower.
− The air conditioning didn't work right. I complained then we thought it was working but it only temporarily was working and by then we were ready for bed so stayed. My husband complained in the morning at the front desk and said she was sorry about it and thought the a/c had just been recently replaced but if it had it still didn't work. I love how she told us she would get it fixed for the next person yet didn't bother to offer any kind of discount. We will NOT stay here again.
