8.0Location
− Hi, We travelled to Macau to accompany our son, who was participating in the Koala Excellence Olympiad held at your hotel. We specifically chose to stay at your hotel as it made it easier for us to support him throughout the event. The hotel's location, within walking distance of major tourist attractions and halal eateries, was also a key reason for our choice. Our booking was for 2 adults and 1 child (12 years old) with breakfast included. However, after completing the booking and payment, we were surprised to learn that breakfast was only provided for the two adults. We were quite disappointed, as this has never happened to us before when booking through Booking.com. In our previous bookings for two adults and one child with breakfast included, breakfast was always provided for all three guests. I'm not sure whether this is due to the hotel's breakfast policy or how the reservation was processed through Booking.com. I would appreciate it if you could kindly clarify this for us and let us know if there is any way this will not happened to our other bookings.. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. We look forward to your reply.
A Timeless Classic with Outstanding Service – But Please Allow the Windows to Open
9.0I absolutely adore this hotel and have been staying here for many years, both for work and leisure trips. It offers the classic comfort of older buildings, with generously sized rooms and high-quality facilities that are increasingly hard to find. The bed, mattress, and linens are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Another advantage is the absence of a casino, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet and peaceful stay. The location is outstanding - truly 5 stars. You are within walking distance of many of Macau's main attractions, as well as numerous dining options, including several restaurants and cafés that are open 24 hours a day. Finally, the staff are impeccable: professional, attentive, and consistently welcoming. This hotel offers a remarkably comprehensive and consistently high standard of service, which is why I continue to return year after year. This reliability, combined with its comfort, excellent location, and attentive staff, ensures an outstanding guest experience every time I stay.
− One significant issue was the lack of natural ventilation. Recently, the hotel does not allow guests to open any windows, which created two main problems for me. Firstly, there is a health concern due to the complete reliance on air conditioning and filtered air. As someone who suffers from allergies, this caused considerable discomfort during my stay. To make matters worse, I became ill with the flu for two days and was unable to open a window to let fresh air into the room, which made recovery more difficult. Secondly, there is an aesthetic issue. If guests are paying for a room with a view, they should be able to enjoy it. However, the large temperature difference between the air-conditioned room and the outside environment caused severe condensation on the exterior of the windows. As guests cannot access the outside of the glass to clean it, the view was obscured for much of the time, significantly reducing the value of the room. To finish, and beyond personal comfort, the importance of natural ventilation for health and indoor air quality has been widely recognised since the COVID-19 pandemic. There is substantial evidence highlighting the role of fresh air exchange in reducing the concentration of airborne contaminants and promoting a healthier indoor environment. The inability to access any form of natural ventilation therefore represents a significant drawback, particularly for guests who may have respiratory conditions, allergies, or other health concerns. In my view, this "no-open windows" policy should be seriously reviewed. While I appreciate that there may be operational or safety considerations behind it, allowing some degree of guest-controlled natural ventilation would significantly enhance both comfort and wellbeing, particularly for longer stays.
I enjoyed my stay and this well appointed hotel. The staff are very helpful and the location is good.

8.0Good bed. Working A/C was good to beat the heat of the days while I was there. Spacious room. Very pleasant staff, and great location - close to the casinos and many restaurants.
− The decor is rather outdated and it feels that if you touch the curtains, 100 years of dust will soon be released. Jokes aside, for the price I paid, and comparing with similar Hong Kong hotels in price range, this was too expensive for the amenities I got.
