Great Stay at Ocean Club East

We had a great time at Ocean Club East. Our room was beachfront--right on the water. One major plus for us was that they upgraded us to a two bedroom condo, though we had booked a one bedroom. This meant that my son did not have the sleep on the pull-out couch. They didn't charge us for the upgrade, so I was very happy about this. The resort has two good restaurants and a tennis/pickleball court. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Only issue was that there was a swimming competition one of the days we were there, and loud music started playing at 6:30 am on that day. This noise woke us up, and we needed earplugs to go back to sleep. I also had one meal at the Cabana bar where it took 45 minutes to get my food. Otherwise, the visit went smoothly. If you go, maybe check in advance about whether there will be a swimming competition during your stay. Otherwise, this is a good choice that is less pricey than some of the other resorts on the island.

Our family of 4 had a great time at the Ocean Club East. Our room had a great view of the ocean and the pools were a lot of fun for the kids. The restaurant on site was excellent as well.

Everything is fine...and nothing more

If three stars means average, then this place every bit of a three. It is just fine - neither distinguished and notable or poor and sub-ar. On the plus side, the beach is great and the grounds are well-kept. It is situated for beautiful sunsets. On the minus side, much of the staff seems like they couldn't care less. No one goes out of their way to flash a smile or call a taxi. On check-in, you are presented with an overly long list of rules. The units are individually-owned. Ours was very adequate and decently comfortable. Though the air-conditioning (necessary in the late afternoon and early evening when the sun bakes it), was finicky and needed service. When working, it was overly noisy. As to the kitchen, it contained only the basics. If you went looking for anything beyond salt and pepper, good luck. The two restaurants on premises are way over-priced. And curiously do not do room charges. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the overall feel of the place is somewhat downscale. Including the clientele. We booked our trip at the last minute and this was one of the few places we could find available. It did just fine. But if you are booking well ahead and have options, you might explore them.

The best location on the best beach in Providenciales. Relaxed, beautiful gardens, and the friendliest staff we have ever known. Many styles of accommodations, all spotless and comfortable.

Great Vacation Spot

One never knows how a resort is going to match up with the experience promised online but our visit with Ocean Club East was just great. It is now a massive hotel with 5 restaurants etc - it consists of 6-8 buildings that are 3 floors high and all with easy access to the pools and the ocean beach. Near the beach the Grill is perfect for sandwiches, snacks, drinks and conversation. The beach is simply wonderful - We loved that it was smaller, more intimate - so much so see, enjoy and mellow out with. No shortage of seating on the beach. Watch the charters coming in, swim, walk - it's all here. Service was excellent although being a smaller scale operation, there wasn't a huge amount of interaction with the staff but the office staff were great ifn helping with reservations for sunset cruise, snorkel trip and restaurants. Our condo was GREAT! Fully outfitted, wrap around lanai, partial view of ocean - perfectly situated to walking. You take a shuttle, which is running all day - over to the partner Resort at Ocean Club West and then you can walk to the area with shops, places to eat and explore. This was a top vacation in our experience.

Best beach vaca ever

Well, color us surprised because we are not usually beach people but the Turks and Caicos, and in particular, Ocean Club East Resort, changed our mind. Grace Bay, right in front of the resort, is the most beautiful beach we've ever visited. Stunningly beautiful water, clean, uncrowded, safe, plenty of places within walking distance on the beach to stop and get refreshments or just some solitude depending on which way you walk. Everyone at the resort from the office to the wait staff at the Cabana Bar are lovely people. Special thanks go out to Taneisha and Cayone at the tables and Abiel and BIG T at the bar, all very friendly and hard working. Gracias, mis amigos! Salud! The food at the Cabana Bar was very good and reasonably priced for the island, in particular the almond or coconut crusted grouper or red snapper. All the jerk seasoning meals were yummy also so you really can't go wrong. Just ask the staff for a recommendation, they'll steer you right. The suite was spotless, roomy and very well appointed and supplied in case you want to stay in and cook.The air conditioner worked great so sleeping was very comfortable on the comfy bed or the pullout couch. You don't really need a car because you can take the shuttle on the hour and half hour to the Club West and walk the 5 minute walk to center of shopping and the Ritz Carlton for fancy dining, if you wish but it was so chill at Club East we stayed and ate there most of the time. All in all, the perfect place to stay in Providenciales.
