Relaxing
10.0The staff was friendly and responsive!
Our stay
5.0Valerie at the front desk was awesome! She was helpful and friendly.
− Our check-in time was 3pm. We were coming from about 1 1/2 hrs away. We were already set to arrive at 3pm. We got a message that our room would not be ready at 3 pm while on freeway. So we couldn't do anything. We arrived at 3 pm. We had to wait until after 4:30 to get our room. Sitting in the hotel lobby. The wedding we were attending started at 5 pm. We barely had time to get ready for it. Valerie was very apologetic. That didn't help us though.
The jacuzzi tub and bathroom were wonderful and I was able to project movies on to the wall for viewing. Privacy in the
7.0Location is good and parking although on the street was easy to find.
− Outdated and the electrical capacity load to power tv accessories, laptops, phones, etc was limited and would power off if running all together.
Overall, our stay was good. The room and wedding venue was spacious.
9.0I liked the boutique hotel and event venue. I also liked the Victorian architecture, historic charm, located near the State Capitol.
− The old smell of the hotel. The dusty green chair in the corner of the room. Not being able to open the bathroom window to air out the bathrooms musty smell and moisture is uncomfortable. The musty smell triggered my asthma.
Charming
8.0Very cute hotel, perfect for my wedding! We stayed in The Huntington Suit which was gorgeous and spacious.
− One of the shower heads didn't work, and figuring out how to make the water a good temperature was really difficult. We didn't shower the first night because the water wouldn't get warm. There was a little kitchen nook, and it would have been nice if it had a microwave or some basic plates/cups. The doors you could just push open without a key, but the whole place was our wedding party so we weren't too concerned.
Not my kind of place!
6.0Beautiful old building
− Needs to have a water cooler on each floor, for coffee maker. TV was super small and poor sound. Lots of street noise throughout the night. No breakfast (vending machine). Nothing near by, and no secure parking.
