10.0Everything. We are 3 weeks into our 4 week Cali roadie and this is by far my favourite accommodation to date. It’s clean, it’s cute, staff are super friendly - feels like a real home from home. A free giant cookie every day. Coffee in the office and in the rooms. Breakfast ordered the night before and delivered to your door! Perfect!
− Pool wasn’t open but we had an option to use a pool at a very nearby place instead - so not actually an issue!
Moonstone Beach Boardwalk
8.0A special location with our own patio overlooking the Pacific. The room was spacious and clean. The local restaurant was exceptional with friendly and efficient service. Cow Tipper .... a 10 minute walk away was a breakfast bonus!
− The pool was not available and desk staff showed little ability to help with booking local tours. There was no daily service of the room unless specifically requested.
Unacceptable Service and Complete Lack of Accountability
3.0− We booked a one-night stay during our family road trip that started in Canada. The reservation was paid in advance via Booking.com, including a double confirmation that the room was suitable for a family of five. We arrived exhausted after a long drive, past standard check-in hours. Instead of providing a digital access code like most places do, we were required to drive several kilometers on dark roads to a remote reception desk just to receive a printed code. Upon finally entering the room, we discovered it was set up for a couple only. We drove back to the remote reception to find a solution, but the desk was unstaffed and no one answered the phone. We had to improvise with spare linens and bed covers just to make it through the night. In the morning, I went to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. Since she was unavailable prior to our departure, I left my contact details (phone and email). To this day, I have yet to receive a response. Mistakes happen, but management is tested by how they handle them. This complete disregard and lack of accountability is the reason I am posting a negative review for the very first time.
