A Perfect Place
10.0Lazy Lizard in Port Douglas is within walking distance of Four Mile Beach; close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, functional, pleasant and peaceful. Aidan and Alex work tirelessly, welcoming new and repeat travellers, arranging transport and tours. The attractive, small swimming pool is sheltered, and especially pleasant on days when the Beach is too windy and cold. I’ve enjoyed staying at the Lazy Lizard in July, for the past 3 years, and look forward to returning in 2027. Thank you Aidan and Alex for making every visit memorable. Carol
Port Douglas little gem in a big resort town
10.0The Lazy Lizard was perfectly located on the way into town, far enough away from the main shopping area to be quiet and peaceful but ideal for quick access to the marina or to the many activities in surrounding areas. The room was large, comfortable, clean and tidy and was well appointed with options to sit inside or out, easy parking and laundry on site. The pool area was small but inviting with an area to sit and soak up the sun or enjoy the shady tropical surrounds. Aiden and Alex were friendly and really helpful with loads of good local knowledge and advice too. We much preferred the laid back atmosphere of the Lazy Lizard to our glitzy Cairns resort-style hotel. You guys punch well above your weight in a town where holiday accommodation is far and away the most competitive business sector. Well done - we loved it.
Quiet and Relaxing
10.0Absolutely loved our stay at the Lazy Lizard. Room was spacious, pool was heated perfectly and so relaxing and quiet. Aiden was very helpful and friendly and so knowledgeable on every question we asked and all the places to see. It is a nice stroll into the main shopping centre, short walk to the beach. Definitely recommend staying here.

10.0Lazy Lizard Inn is fantastic, central location that made exploring Port Douglas incredibly easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very well maintained. While the set up was great, it was Aidan the manager who made our visit memorable. He gave us great advice on the best things to do during our short stay, and all of his recommendations were incredibly helpful. Would highly recommned staying here
