Enjoyed travelling back in time to my Childhood. My Dad had the same Records!
6.0Central Location Period Home Details such as Furniture and Artwork etc. made the Home a unique Stay
− No food provided - in this price bracket usually have a basket of complimentary eggs, bread and/or fruit (surprised not even a small carton of milk was offered). NOTE: items in cupboard eg: condiments, cooking ingredients etc. found some - past use-by date. House could've been cleaner. NOTE: This has been mentioned in past Reviews - and yet not dealt with?! Instructions were not clear for connecting to WIFI (recommend setting up an Instruction Manual with ALL details regarding Appliances etc.)
It was a wonderful surprise. I booked the cheapest but was treated to a lovely retro fitted house.
9.0I loved the retro furnisher and artwork, including the record player which we used. We also loved the close proximity to Inverloch parkrun and the Running Festival start/finish line.
− Having to rent the linen as an extra. That was the first time I’ve ever had to do that and it caught me by surprise.
Beds were comfy but house 100% needs a freshen up.
5.020 minute walk from town so not too bad, the outdoor areas are nice.
− Property was 100% not cleaned. House smelt off when we walked in, we had to open up all the doors to get some airflow. Floors were dirty. Read the fine print of what the house includes.
We loved the very retro 1960s furnishings.
8.0− The fridge was dirty and needs a good clean, especially underneath the vegetable drawer. Since we took dinner elsewhere and did not use the dishwasher, a washup brush would have been useful to clean the little bit of crockery and cutlery we used for breakfast or lunch.
Overall stay was good and air conditioning worked well
