A disappointing stay marked by poor communication, inadequate guest care, and the beach closure
1.0The hotel was modern, clean, and well-maintained. However, the negative experiences we had throughout our stay overshadowed these positive aspects, making it difficult for us to enjoy or appreciate them.
− Don't let the hotel's high Booking.com rating fool you. Based on our experience, the hotel showed very little interest in resolving guest concerns or providing the level of service we expected. We chose Amàre Beach Hotel primarily because of its beachfront location. The beachfront experience was the main reason we booked this hotel. Unfortunately, the beach was officially closed due to sewage contamination during our stay, and we were not informed before our arrival, even though the closure had already been publicly announced several hours before we checked in. On our first day, when we asked why nobody was using the beach, we were told that the reason was jellyfish. Only after checking local news ourselves did we discover that the beach had actually been closed due to sewage contamination. As a result, we had to take taxis to other public beaches, pay for sunbeds, and spend additional money simply to enjoy the sea. Unfortunately, this was not our only disappointment. We contacted the hotel several times through the Booking.com but never received a response. The Deputy Manager told us that the matter would be discussed with the General Manager and that we would receive an update before our departure, but we never heard back. Even after requesting fair compensation, the hotel made no effort to resolve the situation. We also experienced several service issues. The complimentary welcome drinks provided after online check-in could not be redeemed because the barcode did not work, requiring another visit to reception the following day. Later, while at the pool, we waited around an hour for a drink and had to ask three times before it was finally served. Throughout our stay, many members of staff appeared indifferent and unwelcoming. We trusted the hotel's excellent reviews when making our decision, but unfortunately our experience was completely different. Based on our stay, we cannot recommend this hotel.
