Terrible management, awful staff

1.0

The gardens were pretty. There were peacocks. The rooms were beautiful. Yoga instructor Sakshi was great.

The staff were lazy, not well trained, and unprofessional. Even senior management is happy to see guests unhappy. When given direct negative feedback, they do not ask further questions or try to remedy the situation. They pretend not to see or hear you. They did the absolute least possible and made sure my stay was as uncomfortable as possible. They will forget your order and insist you never ordered. You have to ask for something at least 5 times, and they will give your request to someone else, and not apologise for their mistake. They do not open doors for you; they will slow down and let you open the door for them. They will not find out important information even when asked directly; they flat out tell you they are unwilling to ask the relevant persons for the information and tell you, the paying guest, to find out by yourself. The "hotel experiences" were unreliable. Vintage car does not run on time; lac bracelet demonstration was an hour late; pottery instructor was half an hour late.

Simply the best hotel in India!

10.0

After spending three wonderful nights in the heart of Jaipur at the beautiful Samode Haveli, I decided to treat my son (who had been travelling for 7 month) and I to a night of complete luxury at the magnificent Ranthambore Palace — the former Maharaja’s residence where Prince Charles and Princess Diana once stayed. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. We were welcomed with rose petals gently scattered over us and presented with fragrant floral garlands, setting the tone for what was to come. The hotel is set within stunning grounds filled with an incredible number of peacocks, creating a truly magical atmosphere. We were kindly allowed an early check-in, which meant we could enjoy the spa in the afternoon before having a light lunch at the outdoor restaurant. Later, we joined the complimentary historical tour of the palace and enjoyed a memorable ride in two vintage cars. In the evening, we had cocktails at the Polo Bar before dining at the Suvarna Mahal fine dining restaurant, which was outstanding — both in setting and quality. Every detail throughout our stay was impeccable, from the décor and food to the drinks and service. The entire experience made us feel genuinely treated like royalty. It is an unforgettable hotel, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it as one of the most special stays we have ever had. I am not surprised that it has won World'd Leading Heritage Hotel and in 2023 it was voted the world's No.1 Hotel on trip advisor.

Nothing!

What I loved the most is how they fully embraced nature instead of trying to modernize everything excessively — it makes the entire experience even more beautiful and unique. The property is home to around 300 peacocks and so many different species of birds, which creates such a peaceful and magical atmosphere everywhere you walk. What makes it even more special is that this was a real palace transformed into a hotel. You can genuinely feel the history and authenticity in every corner. I absolutely loved how they preserved the old money luxury aesthetic — antique, elegant, timeless, yet still incredibly luxurious and refined. The hotel also offers so many beautiful activities and experiences. You can feed the peacocks, do a palace tour, henna, try pottery making, enjoy morning yoga, and so much more. There’s always something special to do while still feeling relaxed and immersed in the culture. I absolutely recommend staying here. It’s not just a hotel, it’s a full experience and one of those places you will always remember.
