Brilliant villa in a great spot for an unforgettable holiday with friends

This is a genuinely brilliant villa which we would highly recommend. The villa is split into two identical houses - each house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen. This made it feel spacious and also meant there was plenty of crockery and equipment between the 2 houses. Having 2 big fridges between 10 of us was amazing! We also made use of the washing machines - everything dried so fast in the Menorca hot sun. The outside space is superb with 2 pools (one very big and deep, the other a little baby pool), plenty of sun loungers, a large table for eating and some chairs under shade. The whole villa was spacious and well laid out. The villa is in a great spot - 5 min walk to local shops and plenty of restaurants/bars (the local town is really fun! We ate out in Ca n’Emilio and Restaurant L’Ancora which were both great and very affordable. Other evenings we used the BBQ in the villa for dinners) and very close to a number of great little coves and beaches (our favourite was Cala en Brut - absolutely stunning and so fun for jumping in off the platforms!) We really really loved the location! It was also easy to either walk along the coastal road or take the 61 bus into the bigger town Cuitadella (highly recommended as it’s a great town!) Solmar villas responded very quickly to a few issues we had during our stay which we were very appreciative of.

− There were just a few things that could so easily have been sorted before we arrived to have made this a perfect stay. On arrival one of the key boxes was empty, the one door we did then have access to got jammed on the second day and we were locked inside for a while. However, the owner turned up very quickly to open the other door and then someone came to fix the broken door. The table tennis table is pointless because it’s battered and old with no equipment. We had to ask for a few things eg the pool filters weren’t working and the pool was getting dirty on day 1, the water kept shutting off in one of the villas, there were 2 umbrella bases but no umbrellas for shade. All of these things got sorted out with a quick phone call, but we did feel we kept having to ask for things. So just a few tweaks here and there would genuinely make this an amazing place to stay. None of this was major and as I say, it all got sorted out - we would still really recommend this villa!
