Perfect
10.0Great location, excellent room and great staff. Breakfast buffet was delicious and outdoor setting was wonderful; flawless service! Excellent Concierge and friendliest of Staff! We would love to stay here again!
Among the best of the best
10.0We stayed for two nights at the end of June. What makes an hotel successful is personalized service, cleanliness, sleep quality, and the dining experience. At Auberge Saint-Antoine, all these criteria are not only met but surpassed. Thank you again for your warm welcome.
Lovely hotel. But a bit of a disappointment overall.
8.0Hotel is in a great location. It has two Michelin keys. Which is why we booked. Not a cheaper hotel. Booked with AMEX Fine hotels. Our experience… arrived. No one there at 12.30pm to help us with heavy case up several flights of stairs. Check-in was disappointing. No early check in available. Promised a text before 4pm to check in. No text. So we came back at 4pm. Got our expected room upgrade. Nice room. Great bathroom. No night light if you need to get up at night. Very little water provided in room. Stayed 3 nights. Milk for tea/coffee never topped up. Had to ask for it. Breakfast was brilliant. Great choices. Eggs prepared fresh every day. Was wonderful to sit in sun at breakfast too. Curtains in room wouldn’t close. Some bulbs not working. Sorry, get the basics right please. Wine in bar were great. Sadly bar was closed at 2130 when we came back from dinner. Really disappointing overall. But a comfortable stay. Not sure it was worth $450 a night. Certainly wouldn’t recommend to friends.
Great spot in old town
10.0We stayed here two nights. Arrived too late for a dinner out, so had wine, charcuterie, and a tasty & unique asparagus appetizer for dinner. The bar staff were so friendly, we stopped back the next night for an after dinner drink. The place was very clean and well located.
Location and Service- A+
10.0I loved the location of the Auberge Saint-Antoine located in lower Old Town. You can walk to the many restaurants, shops, and the river. The funicular and stairs are a short walk which will take you to upper Old Town. We arrived at 12;00 pm looking to check- in early and we were told that check- in time is at 4:00 pm. We ended up checking in around 3:15 pm. I asked if we had a river view or courtyard view and we were told he had a view of a wall. I first thought she was kidding but she was not. If you want a guaranteed view you should book it. The lobby was beautiful and very relaxing. The doorman was always friendly and offered to help. One of the highlights of the hotel was the concierge, Geneviève. She booked a couple of restaurants for us and they both were memorable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Somewhat Overrated
6.0We stayed at the Auberge Saint-Antoine for 4 nights in October of 2025. There are many positive reviews about this property so perhaps our expectations were too high but overall we were a bit underwhelmed. The Auberge is located in the Old Town near the water and is very convenient to all sights and transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was also helpful (but there was no concierge on Sunday of our stay). We had drinks and food at the bar and it was fine. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast - which seems to receive high praise online - was not good. The coffee was undrinkable. The buffet was a normal hotel buffet and the cooked-to-order food was not very good. We considered whether the first morning was just bad luck but the second day was just as bad so we had breakfast elsewhere the other two mornings. Our stay was booked via the American Express FHR program which, among other things, guarantees a late checkout (4PM). Apparently the Auberge derives a lot of business from this program. We arrived early in the morning and did not expect early check-in but we did expect to be in our room by 4PM. However, we were told at 4PM that (1) we could not have a room because they had too many late checkouts and (2) they had no idea when we would have a room. We waited until almost 6PM and then insisted that our room be prioritized for cleaning. This may have been a mistake because when we got to our room at around 6:30PM, we found a broken table, leftover food in the fridge and dirty towels under the sink. Also, I noticed several other parties still waiting for their rooms at 6:30. Finally, I note that our room on the second floor sometimes smelled of sewage. The smell came and went. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they just said that this sometimes happens on the lower floors and did not try to resolve. We didn't hate it but would definitely try another property on our next visit.
