Fantastic stay
10.0What a wonderful stay in a perfect situation along the waterfront in Ipswich. The service from everybody was impeccable from the front desk , restaurant staff and the housekeeping team. Everyone was so helpful , friendly and accommodating. The rooms were fabulous and every meal we had , breakfast , lunch and dinner was superb. We really didn’t want to leave and would recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
Perfect stay
10.0Yet another lovely stay at The Salthouse even had a couple of cocktails in the newly renovated bar area. Staff as always very friendly and make you feel part of the family.
Hotel and spa break July 26
10.0We had a fantastic time at Salthouse Spa for our wedding anniversary. The staff including front of house staff Maddie and Jamie were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we had lunch and breakfast which were both very nice. We stayed in the Penthouse suite overlooking the harbour which was lovely, the views were amazing. The room was spacious and extremely clean, and comfortable. The spa although quite small was very new, it’s lovely and quiet as limited numbers at one time, the staff in the spa were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend. Would definitely visit again.
A wonderful overnight stay 😊
10.0A wonderful overnight stay. In fact we felt on leaving as if we had been on holiday for a week rather than just overnight. Attentive, friendly staff, good food and drink and a comfortable air conditioned room made this a five star experience. Only two things struck us as unusual within a hotel of this calibre, firstly the lack of wardrobe and drawer storage space. There were no drawers at all within the room and the bulk of the wardrobe area was filled with two hotel bathrobes, an ironing board and a small shelf unit containing hairdryer, kettle and complimentary beverage ingredients, which made it hard to store our own garments. As we were only staying overnight this did not pose too much of a problem to us, but might do for guests staying longer. Secondly, we were surprised to see there was no minibar within the room. Two bottles of mineral water awaited us on the table but it would have been useful to have somewhere to chill them. The air conditioning was most welcome, however, as we visited during a heatwave. All in all, a most enjoyable stay. Thank you.
Awful service
2.0Went for a pre meeting drink, had to find someone to get a drink menu, no one came to take the order, walked through restaurant to the bar and ordered , waited 20 mins at which point I had to find someone to chase the order up, 10 minutes later they arrived. Was asked to pay before the drinks were put on the table. Waitress disappeared before I could say I had the wrong cocktail, was now time to leave for our meeting . Wasn’t going to put this review but I messaged the hotel via contact form but no one has replied to me dispute the form saying a reply will be sent by next working day.
Great Hotel with wonderful staff
10.0Spent 2 nights at the Salt house with a group of friends and had a fantastic experience. Rooms were great and the breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. The staff were superb. All were friendly, polite and attentive. I cannot praise it enough and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world.
