We had a very warm greeting when we arrived. Our room was the right temperature. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Ample parking. We were close enough to see and shop Syracuse but far enough away to have a quiet place to rest. Our beds were comfy and the bedding was comfortable. Very friendly staff. Nice scented shampoo and body gel in the shower.

− The bathroom sink's plug was broken so the water didn't drain. Large hand prints on the room's window.

The location was great. It is very close to the airport and there is a Deli walking distance. The indoor pool was great.

Offensively smelly. Dreading our next booked stay on Monday.

− This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Syracuse grand since April for a family members medical appointments. The first two times we stayed there, no issues. This time it was a mess. Both rooms smelled absolutely terrible. My parents handicap accessible room smelled like strong ammonia masking dog urine. We had their room changed, but at the sacrifice of having a handicap accessible shower. My room, which I was not really paying attention to because I was caring for my parents until bedtime, smelled like mold/mildew. I noticed it briefly when I came into the room to drop off my overnight bag but didn’t really hit me until I re entered the room at 11pm. By that point I was exhausted and already knew that limited rooms were available, if any, since there were only 2 options available for my parents when we switched them. I threw the blanket over my face to mask the smell and tried to ignore it. I couldn’t and it made me feel sick by morning. The bathroom smelled like weed in the morning and when I went to lay out the floor towel I found a cue tip covered in black on each side, likely used to clean a pipe and the culprit of the smell. I informed the front desk at check out, in a hurry to make it to appointments. The breakfast also was a downfall. Yogurt and juice machines broken and said “check fridge for juice and yogurt”. There was no juice and when I asked about the lady was nice enough to bring some out, but informed me that it wouldn’t be cold because whoever worked the day before didn’t refrigerate any for this morning.
