A unique experience in the heart of NYC
10.0Hotel St. James exceeded my expectations. The whole experience is genuinely unique because you get to feel the "Old New York" vibe right in the center of Times Square. You can book another place in the same location, but it won't have the history. I loved how spacious my room was, the comfy bed, the bathroom with a bathtub and a window you can open. The selection of cable channels was fantastic and the Wi-Fi good and stable throughout my stay. Being in the center of all the action means, of course, that near the hotel you have food available all night should you need it. The location is also safe to walk back to as it is in a street brightly lit by Times Square's neon lights. Last but not least, I would like to mention the wonderful staff (both at the reception and the housekeepers) who went above and beyond to make me feel truly welcome and always greeted me with a smile. Every question was answered and every small request met with prompt service. I will gladly be back if I get the chance.
− It is true that some rooms have little natural light, but I did not mind this - I did not spend the day in my room.
