Great value place to stay in Rosedale
9.0We were staying to attend a wedding nearby so arrived pre-check-in time to collect our keys. Despite a power cut, the staff were friendly and helpful, serving us sandwiches and providing an out of the way place to get changed. Location is excellent for walking in/around Rosedale or for a wedding at Danby Castle, and has great views over the valley. Breakfast was buffet style, with freshly cooked hot food. Rooms were fairly small but had everything we needed
− Only a little thing - bedroom floor was rather creaky!
We will not be staying again, we actually left a day early
4.0The Location
− The carpets in hallways (dog hairs everywhere) were dirty, same in room. Didn't seem to be anyone in charge as in manager or owner, just different ladies running on their own. Breakfast the first day was not hot, but was the next time we tried. There was no gluten free option as in bread for breakfast. We had a drink in the bar but the glasses didn't look ilke they had even been washed.
Great stay and will go back!
9.0The location more or less at the start of Chimney Bank but only 6 minutes walk from the centre of the village up the hill can't be any better as the views from the front of the inn are just superb. Staff were very attentive and you couldn't get any friendlier people. Breakfast very good.
