5.0Comfy beds, breakfast, helpful with a special request
− Delayed check in, stressed staff, lobby under maintenance, attached to huge hospital meaning additional use of key cards all over, having to pay for parking, visible dirty parts of room, shower and some unidentified sticky liquid across pictures
The staff was not helpful during our entire 3 day stay. I will never stay at this hotel again.
2.0The fact that the hotel connected to the hospital where I was seeing a patient. That is it.
− My son left a bag in our room and have called MANY times about it. The one time I was able to reach anyone in Housekeeping, she let me know how much she didn't want to look for our bag. Never received any type of call back. Last time I called and spoke with someone at the front desk and they said they would personally hand deliver the message to return the call, that was 2 days ago. I don't usually write reviews, but on this one, big thumbs down.
Highly recommend!
10.0I would 10/10 recommend the DoubleTree St. Louis, especially for anyone who needs to be near Barnes Jewish Hospital, which is right next door. I had the pleasure of being greeted on arrival by Alex at the front desk, and he set the tone for my entire stay. I was there for two weeks while my mom was a patient at Barnes, and Alex was excellent throughout. He made sure we were looked after and taken care of — his calm, warm, funny demeanor put us instantly at ease, which meant the world since my mom was undergoing treatments and tensions were running high. When I needed to extend my stay, Alex and the entire DoubleTree team were more than accommodating for my situation. A major bonus: the third floor is connected directly to the hospital, so you don't even have to go outside. That made it safe and incredibly convenient for me to go back and forth, which was a godsend because I was still working full-time while supporting my mom. If you're considering the DoubleTree St. Louis in the Central West End, I cannot recommend it, plus Alex and the entire staff, enough.

10.0Very clean and was happy it’s right at the Hospital no driving abound
− Love the staff they was all nice and friendly
Very adequate!
8.0There was a guy on the front desk called 'Alex', who was just a great ambassador for the brand. He was super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet. The hotel was in a great location.
− One of the other receptionists (short, glasses, bit older) was a bit unpleasant. No sunlight out of her, couldn't muster a "hello" or a "how are you". Looked angry. It's a pain that the restrooms are locked with a card key. For god's sake, just let people use the restroom without going through security clearance - it's ridiculous.
