Very happy with the room and standard of comfort and cleanliness but disappointed .
8.0Breakfast was a buffet and okay. Everything was cooked nicely and there was a variety to choose from.
− After being sent many emails promoting the evening dinner menu to find it was not on offer the night we booked (or informed of ) which was our wedding anniversary. As we were only staying 1 night we had to make do with the lunchtime menu which was very disappointing.
Perfectly situated as going to the pavilion. Not sure it is a 4 star but it served its purpose for what we needed.

− The room was smaller than expected and was tired looking with some maintenance issues. The lift wasn’t working and the room lost power just as I was drying my hair to go out also!
Amazing stay overall. Location of the hotel is still one of the best.
8.0Location is amazing! Definitely one of the main selling points of the hotel. The A/C is working well and we had no trouble sleeping at night despite the hot summer weather. The bathroom is great! Very spacious and we were so lucky that we were in one of the newly renovated rooms. Staff were lovely. Cafe prices were quite cheap when we ordered while waiting for our taxi to the train station.
− Lift was broken but that didn't bother us too much as we were only one floor up. Overall appearance of the hotel looks a little dated and needs a bit of TLC.

Please note The Hermitage Hotel does not have any leisure facilities on site. Our guests are welcome to use the facilities at our sister property, the Suncliff Hotel, which include a heated indoor pool, sauna, and mini gym. These are located a short walk from the property.
Please note that this property cannot accommodate hen and stag parties. Internet is not always available at the hotel. Please inquire upon arrival.
If dinner is not requested upon booking, then there will be an extra charge in addition to the stated amount.
Please note that onsite parking is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis and chargeable at GBP 14 per car per night. It is not possible to reserve parking prior to arrival. There are also several public car parks nearby as well.
