10.0Beautifully preserved historic property
Beautiful place, for a single night this was ‘fine’, but not some place we are likely to try again.
7.0The Sayre Mansion is a gorgeous historical bed & breakfast with amazing common areas and outdoor spaces, helpful and friendly staff, and solid amenities. Every single staff person was wonderful - made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout.
− Sadly the execution in a number of areas was lacking. The room was reasonably comfortable but the bed had lost any firmness and we found ourselves rolling together throughout the night. There were some updates needed as well - the room for was sticky and the lock was suspect, and the main stairs (particularly bottom few) were not remotely level and could be dangerous for someone with balance or joint issues. The breakfast was similarly disappointing with the choice between eggs and … eggs. Fresh fruit was limited to blueberries (canned peaches don’t count), and all of the pastry options and the granola were loaded with nuts which is an issue for someone with allergies - at least something nut free should have been available. And the staff should be aware. The ‘toast’ for the nut-free person was delivered without toasting and without butter, which was again strange, and the request for ketchup resulted in about a teaspoon in a small dish.
truly amazing

10.0Comfy bed, nice breezy porch, breakfast included, port wine and snacks put out for guests in the sitting room, interesting history helpful and pleasant staff.
− We liked everything, it was historically charming, but if you like modern decor, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
