10.0This was our first trip to Sorrento and we loved the trip and our week in the Hotel Minerva. Our trip had been a bit stressful and being dropped off by the bus on the main road was a bit disconcerting as you enter and then take a lift up 5 floors to reception- but once you arrive and see the view all of the stresses of the journey fade away! We were checked in quickly and the room was lovely - bigger than average hotels - good air conditioning and with a balcony that had a view over the Bay. We had booked Half Board and so we used the restaurant many times and found all the staff to be helpful and on top of things. Eating breakfast looking out over to Vesuvius and the wider Bay was a highlight every day. The food was pretty good and we always had options from the menu and the Lasagne was fantastic. The roof pool area is nice and was never too busy and the bar / snacks up there were a good option. The hotel is about 10min walk down the hill into Sorrento - the path is narrow but that walk is fine for most people. For us it worked as it was close enough with being further up the hill and being reliant on ‘shuttles’ - and being up from the centre gives you the view!

10.0The breakfast buffet provided a great selection of food including bacon and eggs. The waitresses were very attentive. Great scenery from the outside dining area. Views from the balcony room were incredible. Perfect location with a supermarket and restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance.
