Great breakfast
10.0The location of the hotel is great, just a brief stroll to the harbour. A great place to see the sunset and catch ferrys. The reception was helpful and friendly. Although the hotel is dated.Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast is self service with a great selection. A lovely touch was warm plates.
Embrace the old world infrastructure!
10.0A great hotel in Oban and only a short walk to the train and ferry terminals. My room was very clean, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff are friendly. The infrastructure of the hotel is old (creaky steps, seperate hot and cold taps, tiny elevator, etc.) but I think that adds to its charm. I would stay here again!

2.0I stayed at this hotel 11 years ago and it was pretty poor, a family room, 4 of us in a twin with 2 put up beds, I swore I would not stay there again, but it is advertised as being refurbished!!! Superior double room, dreadful, tiny is an understatement and overpriced for the quality. This hotel has not been refurbished, avoid. The staff were lovely, top marks to them.
A worn out depressing hotel with poor customer service
2.0What are depressingly tired and uninspiring hotel. Walking up the stairs, the carpet is thread back and the cabinets on the staircase displaying items for sale of thick with dust and one of them the lightsare broken in them. The window in my bedroom was filthy, but that was actually a bit of a blessing to try and disguise a disgusting view onto a flatroof outside that was unkempt. The chamber made with the nicest member of staff in the hotel who had the best customer service. The other staff were completely lacking in customer care skills or warmth. A pretty depressing start to the holiday in a very tired rundown hotel
