− The beds were dirty. There looked to be a cover over the mattress and it had stains all over it. When I pulled the top blanket off it looked like there was a chunk of dirt or something in the bed. The room smelled weird, almost like mold.

Horrible experience, smoky, damp room, possible bed bugs

Vile experience. I stayed in room 210 with my 2 kids and the room reeked of smoke and was extremely damp. I asked at the desk and was told that someone was holed up in that room smoking for 2 weeks and they didn’t know it until the person checked out. Apparently the carpet had been shampooed and was still damp, the entire room felt damp, even the sheets. They had no other room to move us to. We had no choice but to stay there as it was too late to find another option and I was there alone with my kids. We all smelled like smoke and it was so bad that we felt like we could taste the smoke from inhaling the air in the room. In the morning I asked again at the desk, the woman working was also aware of the problem with room 210 and also told me ‘the rooms are all just damp in the summer’. She said the manager wasn't there, and there was nothing they could do because it was booked through a 3rd party. To make matters worse we had itchy bites on our feet and ankles the next morning that I can only assume were from bed bugs. I've been trying to get a refund or a credit and am being given the run around. I will never stay at a Super 8 again or book through Southwest.

The best feature of this motel is the staff. They go out of their way to make guests feel at home. This completely over rides the less than stellar condition of the property. Rooms are nice, a/c a bit too loud, though. Breakfast was very good and area clean and enjoyable. Even with the few problems, I would stay again, anytime.
