Exceptional Hospitality from the Moment I Arrived
10.0What a lovely boutique hotel experience! From the moment I arrived, Anthony made me feel incredibly welcome. Check-in was wonderful—he helped me with my bag, graciously showed me two different room options, and took the time to explain all of the hotel’s amenities. He even helped me adjust the thermostat and shared some great local recommendations. Anthony was genuinely kind, welcoming, and so accommodating. The rooms are lovely and feel fresh from the recent renovations. It’s the thoughtful, personal service that makes a sweet boutique hotel like this so special. I truly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend it!

Everything about this hotel is perfect, except this year the ventilation in the rooms.
7.0This was my second year staying in Cardiff by the Seal lodge because I loved it so much last year. Great location, kind staff, lovely rooms, amenities like being able to rent out a beach umbrella and chair, and a beautiful rooftop patio. I love being able to walk to my favorite SD coffee shop across the street, watch the World Cup game at the bar right next to it, and tan on the patio or at the beach!
− But unfortunately this year it seems the rooms have had some remodeling, or our room specifically didn't have a proper window that opened. It was sealed off and as a consequence left our room being muggy. Last year I recall being able to open the windows a smidge and it truly makes all the difference, so I don't know if it was this room specifically or a remodel but I Can sincerely say it makes the room less enjoyable to be in and sleep in. We had issues with the poor draining in the shower that caused a build up of water at my feet, which is gross. I love everything about this hotel but the poor circulation in the rooms, I even propped ope the door to ventilate and our friends were immediately able to notice to odd scent of the room because of it.
