Wonderful Hotel with arguably the best group of Associates/Staff I've had the pleasure to deal with

10.0

I've been to Yellowstone many times, but have never stayed or entered the park through Gardiner. Normally, we stay in Big Sky or West Yellowstone or fly into Billings and come in through the Red Lodge/Cooke City entrance. Gardiner was a very pleasant surprise with a small charm flavor. Our Hotel was wonderful with stunning views, pleasant and insightful staff, and all the amenities we needed. The desk is staffed 24/7 and the complimentary coffee and tea bar was always available. A secondary coffee bar is set-up outside for the morning rush which I was a constant visitor as I'm an early riser. Gardiner being the "Serengeti of North America", the Elk are literally everywhere and sit right outside the hotel or stroll around town. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the park.

There was nothing we didn't like. It is a very well run hotel which is a statement all in itself. This is a tough business and to get such dedicated, well informed, polite staffing is a credit to this establishment.

Clean place close to airport.

Spacious clean room

Laundry facilities. There was no way to get coins for machines without leaving to go to a store for change. They driers took 3 runs to dry the clothes.

Convenient Hotel to North Entrance of Yellowstone

8.0

This is a pet-friendly hotel 1.4 miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It's in the town of Gardiner (Montana) which is quite small, but still has restaurant options available. We had eaten dinner before we arrived at the hotel, but stopped for breakfast at the Wonderland Cafe before entering the park the following morning. It offers lots of coffee, tea and espresso options, plus a nice area to eat inside. I had the cinnamon coffee cake which was very tasty. We also bought some cheesecake cookies to take along for later. I stayed in a King room on the ground floor which was perfect. My room had a partial view of the mountains. It was clean and had a microwave and mini-fridge. The microwave had a strange feature that required pushing the unlock button on it before you can enter the time and press start. Nice flat screen tv and wifi - both worked well. Friendly staff who were happy to answer any questions.
