10.0Amazing service. Such a great place for a romantic getaway.
Victorian v modern
6.0We stayed at Castle in the Country two years ago in order to celebrate our anniversary. Our experience was so memorable, we came back to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. The first year we stayed in the top floor of the old and beautiful Victorian home. The owners are fantastic and have put a lot of time, energy, and work into restoring the Victorian and making each room unique. They have also created more modern rooms in a place called Castle Keep. This is the building where a delicious and unique breakfast is held and it has an area for snack, coffee, etc. Unfortunately, for us, we did not know we would be staying in the more modern building. Nothing is wrong with it but it does not have the charm and amazing woodwork the Victorian building has so we were disappointed with our room. The team managing the property are friendly and enthusiastic. I believe a lot of places might have been in the same position with it being winter and yet being in the 50's. Our room was so very warm/hot. We couldn't open the windows as the storm windows were still on which makes sense. We weren't able to enjoy the fireplace as it just made it hotter in the room. We were not able to cool off the room with a ceiling fan so that was a bit frustrating. The Castle in the Country really is in the middle of nowhere. They have added many more activities and packages since we have been there (check the website). It is definitely worth stopping by for a visit and possibly staying.
Great place!
10.0We just wanted to get away for a couple of days. We found this place and it looked like a peaceful, relaxing place. It more than exceeded our expectations! You'll love this place!
B and B in the Country
10.0We had a great time at this bed-and-breakfast. The hospitality was excellent the morning breakfast was delicious and the surrounding areas are just beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.
Great little getaway!
10.0Castle in the Country was an excellent bed and breakfast. Our room was perfect (so was the jacuzzi tub) and the grounds are beautiful, even in the late winter/early spring. Breakfast was so good I wished I could've eaten it twice.
