− It’s July 2026, summer temperatures around West Lake can reach 35 degrees celcius or more. We paid higher price for a lake view at 7th floor. The room aircon there is only possible till 25 degrees celcius and unable to go lower. Imagine we thought we could escape and rest in the room from summer heat but ended up it was stuffy and warm - that affected our sleep at night too even without the blankets, it was stuffy. So we had to go sit in lobby which was much cooler. The hotel technician said this temperature is like this probably due to the heat as we kept our window blinds opened, he suggested to keep it shut to reduce the heat in room - that means the room is in darkness. Afterwards we shifted to another hotel property and we were able to enjoy the nice cooling hotel room and take naps in the hot afternoons.

− The room I booked was unavailable at check in. I understand that this happens sometimes, it’s not a big issue. Instead of saying this the receptionist tried 3 times to have me pay to upgrade, and then gave the upgrade for free when I kept refusing to pay extra. Disappointing behaviour
