5.0Front desk manager was very nice and helpful. Room and facilities were clean. Location was perfect for our one-night stay. Check out was easy and convenient.
− We had to use pliers to turn on/off the shower due to a stripped control knob. The pillows were also the most uncomfortable pillows we had ever encountered.
No restaurant, no bar, generally ok but very basic in terms of facilities.
4.0Hardly anything to like, perhaps the age of the house and the history that came with it.
− No restaurant and no bar as we were informed that staff had left, therefore unable to provide a meal and bar was shut, we were told we could buy a bottle of wine to drink? Please adults and children be careful of the hot water taps, this runs with scolding water. The extra bed was a camp bed for a child, absolutely not suitable for an adult. Decor very basic, carpets aged. Outdoor area needed a good sweep. Zircon fed through a window which in turn left a gap which affected the noise of traffic from the road directly outside. Unfortunately it was generally a disappointing experience. Not what we would have expected for a hotel?

We love dogs here and welcome well behaved pup parents at the Groveland Hotel in our pet-friendly rooms: 105, 106, 107, 108, 109 and 110.
