Beautiful, peaceful resort with room for improvement

My wife and I stayed at the Plaza Hotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Our Royal Apartment was spacious and located in a quiet, peaceful area toward the back of the resort. We enjoyed having a pool and bar nearby, and the staff in that area were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We spent most of our time there and found the bar-food menu satisfying. Breakfast was also good, and the in-room safe gave us a secure place to store our valuables.

− The apartment was about a seven- to eight-minute walk from the front of the resort. Although we were driven there by cart upon arrival, the driver dropped us off without helping with our luggage. Our experience at the Palm Bar was disappointing. As African American guests, my wife and I repeatedly felt overlooked. Staff asked us to wait while serving other guests who arrived after us. We had to speak up several times to receive service, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We also experienced a concerning security incident when someone attempted to enter our apartment while we were inside. Management said they would investigate but did not follow up as promised. We were later told that we may have left the door unlocked and that the wind possibly blew it open. That explanation was not convincing, especially because our key cards stopped working afterward and the door had to be reprogrammed. The Wi-Fi was very weak near our apartment and worked best at the front of the resort. Some of the furniture also had stains and needed deeper cleaning. Breakfast became repetitive, while dinner had limited variety, with too much meat and too few side dishes. Overall, I would give the Plaza Hotel 3 out of 5 stars. The peaceful setting, Royal Apartment area, and friendly staff near the back pool were highlights, but the resort has considerable room for improvement in customer service, security, cleanliness, Wi-Fi, and dining options.

Todo excelente . La comida espectacular y el servicio también . Las instalaciones super cómodas. Todo de muy buena calidad. Tenía playa en el hotel mismo y clases de buceo . Muy linda piscina.

− Nuestra habitación de 2 dorm era del lado nuevo y teníamos q caminar bastante para llegar al restaurante. Una parte del hotel está en obras.

− Ik moest bij aankomst een eindje sleuren door het resort met mijn koffer.

− Wij waren er 22 nachten (juli 2026) en werkelijk ELKE dag het zelfde (voortreffelijk) eten! Wifi zwaar onder de maat en als laaste het constant wisselende temperatuur bij het douchen!
