3.0I loved the area,the pool and hot tub and sun deck on our level 7 was amazing .The only thing I didn't like about our trip was the mold in the AC unit .My daughter who is 5 and I have severe mold allergies and it made so stuffy and feel scrappy the whole time we was there.
− The mold in our AC made me and my 5 year old daughter sick because we have severe mold allergies .I emailed, texted and went to the front desk with pics n videos of the mold and when someone did come to clean it Friday evening there was still lots of mold left behind. I have a video of before and after cleaning as well .I would love to stay there again but not if we have to deal with mold and wait that long for it to be handled.

2.0The Caravelle is now old and run down. Parking is terrible. No place to unload upon arrival. Park across the street in a garage. Haul your own items across Ocean Blvd. Then up the elevators. Made several trips because I was a solo traveler. I needed to leave one day early due to a family emergency. Called the front desk and gave notice. No refund. I booked thru Expedia and paid upon arrival at the hotel. Meaning the hotel collected my payment and could have refunded directly. No. It’s their policy. “We have your money and we are not refunding to you,” Is what it felt like. I called Expedia from the front desk when I checked out. The Expedia person spoke to the front desk manager. Expedia could not refund because they had not been paid yet. I have stayed at the Caravelle many times in the last 30 years and taken family members and friends for the ocean front location. Never again.

2.0The room was not clean and also had a bad odor. The toilet wouldn’t flush. Went to take a shower and the tub was stopped up. I had to cover my hand with a bag to clean the huge glob of hair from previous guests out of the drain. Very disgusting!!! On top of the refrigerator froze up and was rusted on the outside and wouldn’t keep anything cold. From the pictures and reviews I was very disappointed. Don’t waste your money staying there.
