10.0Hotel Royal exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city on foot while still offering a peaceful place to unwind. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, with a bed that guaranteed a great night's sleep. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and genuinely helpful, making check-in and the entire stay effortless. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, and every part of the hotel felt well cared for. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Everything simply worked, from the cleanliness to the service and overall atmosphere. In a world where some hotels seem to compete over who can charge the most while trying the least, Hotel Royal is a refreshing exception. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
− Ask yourself: Do I feel royal? Families with children were coming straight from the woods, bringing noise and chaos into the common areas. Read the room. If you're looking for a family-friendly hotel, go to Scandic. If you're looking for a genuinely refined atmosphere, this may not be the place.
Perfect choice
9.0Lovely independent hotel with loads of history and character 5 mins walk from the train station and very close to Gothenburg’s lively old town centre full of shops and restaurants. Super welcoming stash and even elevator that greets you. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Very good breakfast.
